Donna Rivers
I have lived in the Berkshires for almost my entire life. With my children grown and looking for meaning after retirement, I renewed a long-standing curiosity for painting. My journey began with a starter painting kit purchased on a whim from the local hobby store. And where better to find the inspiration and various scenes for my paintings than right in my own backyard, the amazing Berkshires of Massachusetts. As a result, my early paintings consisted mainly of mountains, lakes, farmlands, and waterfalls. The beauty of Mother Nature and the variety of the four seasons provided me with endless possibilities for my artwork. Initially, I painted with acrylics, either on archival canvas or textured hard board.
My paintings are realistic with attention to detail and lots of color.
