-

She received her BFA in glass and metal sculpture from Alfred University School of Art and Design in 1994. She has also studied at the Pilchuck Glass School, The Corning Museum of Glass, Rhode Island School of Design, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and Penland School of Crafts.
Jen has studied with many of the best glass maestros in the world, including Lino Tagliapietra, William Morris, Pino Signoretto, Dante Marioni, Karen Willenbrink-Johnsen, Martin Janecky, Richard Marquis, Randy Walker, Kait Rhoads, Stephen Dee Edwards and Fred Tschida.

John Lanterman - black and white photography.
John grew up and spent many years in Colorado, where he was a landscape architect. Photography was part of his world then, and he incorporated it throughout his career in a supporting role for his design, planning, and teaching.
He was on the faculty at the University of Colorado for many years, teaching landscape architecture, urban design, and environmental design at the graduate and undergraduate level.
John’s work ranges from the grand vistas of the west to the intimate landscapes of the Berkshires. His motivation is to encourage viewers to see and protect the natural beauty that surrounds us.
The primary theme of his photographs is capturing the sense of place of an area. His work documents the physical setting for relationships between people. This includes regional landscapes, natural areas, urban settings, and elements that capture the emotions attached to a place or object.
John Lanterman’s virtuosity is in his complex and compelling compositions. His photography is rich in tone, contrast and feeling. He provides the viewer with not only a glimpse of the moment, but a powerful feeling of the past.
John lives in the Berkshires, in Massachusetts.

Douglas Gilbert - graphite and charcoal on paper.
Douglas started his art education at LaGuardia School of the Arts in New York.Later, he received his B.F.A. and B.A. in Art History from Cornell University.
Fascinated by computer graphics, Douglas spent much of his young career as a graphic designer. His decision to return to fine art and specifically pencil to paper speaks to his desire to bring attention to the medium’s relevance in today’s shiny technology filled galleries. He exhibited at Garner Art Center, UCLA Broad Art Center, Becket Art Center, Lapin Contemporary, and the Spencertown Academy Art Center.
Douglas has taught computer graphics and drawing at LaGuardia School of the Arts, Evander Childs High School, University of Southern California, American Intercontinental University, and Queensborough Community College. He teaches drawing at his studio in North Adams, MA.
Douglas exhibits a remarkable consistency in style, characterized by his use of densely packed lines to create gradients and shapes, that culminate in a dramatic series of minimalist, monumental and abstract works.
Douglas lives in Williamstown, Massachusetts; and works at his studio, at Greylock Works, in North Adams, Massachusetts.
LAPINcontemporary is an emerging gallery focused on exhibiting works of art throughout the year with the intention to promote artists and to provide another cultural venue for the community, and for visitors travelling on the path between The Clark Art Institute and Mass MoCA.
